Thai Massage
The traditional Thai massage consists of passive massage, pressure point massage and yoga positions for straightening and stretching. Considered the body’s energy network according to Ayurvedic teachings, 10 selected energy lines are worked on using gentle kneading and rhythmic pressure from palms, thumbs, knees, elbows and feet. The Thai massage takes place on a floor mat and the guest is clothed. The traditional treatment takes over two hours and is famous for its dynamic and energetic aspects. Those being massaged breath harder during the stretching positions because the muscles use more oxygen. The same applies during the phases of intense pressure massage. The deeper breathing paves the way to relaxation and regeneration - but one of the reasons this form of massage enjoys a worldwide reputation for its medicinal properties.
